This course is a good introduction to green woodworking. Using a selection of hand tools, including axes and knives, you’ll take a log and shape it in to a wooden spoon to take home.

This course is ideally suited to beginners.

Your tutor for this course is Rob Thorpe. Rob is a residential craftsperson at the Heritage and Rural Skills centre. He has been a green woodworker for 12 years, and also has 20 years of teaching experience, having run many green wood courses.

Class sizes are small, to give all participants a chance to engage with the tutor and learn at their own pace.
