In March, Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons closed its doors to support the Government directive so they could keep staff, guests and their local community safe. Following guidelines, Raymond Blanc and his team are now busy making preparations for their reopening and expect operations to resume on Bastille Day, Tuesday, 14 July.
So many things have changed as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak, yet the team at Le Manoir continue their commitment to provide the highest standard of service and care for guests and staff alike.
Raymond is working closely with the team as they prepare for the re-opening and said “Of course our priority will be to offer our guests a safe and seamless service, whilst respecting social distancing requirements and we will continue to work closely with the relevant health bodies so that our guests and staff can trust that we are meeting these at the highest possible level.”
Whilst new measures will be in place, guests will be welcomed with exactly the same warmth expected and exceptional service throughout.
The team of gardeners are working tirelessly so visitors can make the most of exploring the herb and vegetable gardens, the Japanese water garden, the wildflower meadow and the wonderful orchards.
There will be a seasonal menu available that offers guests the choice of five or seven courses, alongside the exceptional wine list that houses many of Raymond’s favourites. Limited reservations will be taken for lunch (Wednesday to Sunday) and dinner (daily) and guests will have carefully allocated individual arrival times.
There will be a choice of luxurious accommodation available, including four garden suites that have their own private outdoor space and entrance. Room service will also be available for those who wish.
Hoping that the weather allows, drinks will be served on the terrace or of course can be taken whilst enjoying the gardens. Later this summer, the gardens will house the wonderful Veuve Clicquot airstream pop-up bar for several weeks, allowing guests even more choice of where to enjoy their pre-meal aperitif or mid afternoon cocktail.
Whilst the last few months has forced many changes to so many, the desire to spend time with family and friends is more apparent than ever. The importance of spending time with loved ones and the longing to create more memories resonates with us all.
It appears many have found a renewed passion for cooking during lockdown as there has been huge interest in The Raymond Blanc Cookery School. Half day or full day courses will be available for up to five guests. The summer barbecue courses will be available from July, taught in the garden by the glasshouse and the new ‘September soirees’ course will also be introduced, highlighting dishes for al fresco dining using the freshest ingredients available at the time.
For those who may have used the past few months to brush up on garden skills and wish to learn a little more, limited tours of Le Manoir’s gardens will be taken by a member of the team for small groups.
