This August, Bicester Village and The Gentleman’s Journal co-hosted the ‘Big Summer Weekend’ – taking guests on a journey of magic and wonder into the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside.

To kick off the weekend celebrations, guests enjoyed an indulgent shopping experience and bespoke hair and beauty treatments by Tom Ford Beauty and H.K London in The Apartment, before being chauffeured by BMW to Blenheim Palace for an afternoon in the sun.

Set against the backdrop of one of the world’s most iconic locations, Blenheim Palace – guests were transported to the tranquil oasis of the formal Italian gardens for a summer banquet. With an unrivalled view of the palace, guests enjoyed Verve Cliquot Brut and Rose Champagne and AIX Rosé wine, which accompanied hero dishes including, a butterflied leg of lamb, skewers of chicken & chorizo with lemon salsa, and a variety of sumptuous salads followed by a heavenly dessert table served in the Orangery.
Wilderness Festival.
A spectacular weekend, with some of the biggest names in music and culture – including Bombay Bicycle Club, Robyn, and Groove Armada. With an exciting line-up of workshops, rejuvenating spa treatments, an afternoon of champagne in Veuve Clicquot’s idyllic garden and delicious food from Patty & Bun, guests enjoyed a weekend of unforgettable experiences.
