Cutteslowe and Sunnymead Park is the largest park in Oxford, located to the north of the city. This vast, leafy park is a beautiful place to come and escape the busy city, offering visitors gorgeous sprawling woodland and nature areas, a safe place to bring children to play, and recreational facilities that will be sure to keep anyone on their toes! There are a variety of different sports available at Cutteslowe and Sunnymead Park. Choose between cricket, football, basketball, table tennis, beach volleyball, tennis or find hidden treasures with geocatching. Runners can try and beat their personal bests by following the “Peace Mile”, a circuit path through the park, or getting involved with the weekly 5km Park run – which is totally free! Or if you’re someone who needs regimenting whilst working out, why not join Regimented Fitness at Bootcamp in the Park? – sessions take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays (if you dare!)
If working up a sweat isn’t your thing, just taking a leisurely stroll through this award winning Green Flag Park will make for a pleasant day out. Visit the ducks at the tranquil duck pond, take a picnic on the lawns in the summer, or see which flowers you can name in the ornamental flower beds and wildflower areas. The Park has it’s very own newly refurbished cafe, San Remo, offering a range of refreshments suitable for all, serving both hot and cold drinks, as well as a lovely fresh selection of cakes and daily specials.
Kids are spoilt for choice at this fantastic park, with three play areas spread across it to choose from, ensuring your little ones won’t get bored easily! The Park covers all interests by being home to a paddling pool, skate park, mini golf course, and all new Splash ‘n’ Play area opening in 2017. If your children are into sport, why not give Summertown Stars a try – this football club for girls and boys aged 6-18 is always keen to meet new aspiring footballers!
The Park is also home to the Cutteslowe Park Miniature Railway where both kids and adults can ride aboard the mini trains. This fantastic feature also has facilities to allow disabled passengers and their carers to enjoy the fun of the ride! The railway is open on Sundays from April to October, over the school summer holidays, and on bank holidays.

San Remo Kiosk
Cutteslowe and Sunnymead Park is home to its very own unique San Remo cafe, offering a selection of hot and cold beverages, as well as fresh snacks and treats for those wishing to take a pit stop on their trip to the park. The San Remo Kiosk also offers an outdoor covered seating area for customers who wish to sit outside during the summer months. The Kiosk operates both the mini golf, and tennis courts opposite and next door to the cafe, which visitors can pay for here.
